last night we gathered with couple of our local friends to go see the free dance performance of min tanaka and friends. this was a show in the inogashira park at night. the dance is in the tradition of Japanese "buto" mixed with a little bit of contemporary style. the dancers, the music of keiji haino, the lighting, special natural sound effect of millions of crickets humming, smell of the forest, and leaves falling...everything came together to create a beautiful mid (?) summer night's dream....they served free beer, too.
