on saturday, one of the presspop supporters, hiro the monk held a benifit event to save the rainforests of amazon at his temple, shomanji. the great healer of the amazon tribe, laoni (90 yrs old), traveled to japan to talk and raise awareness of the fact that the rainforests of amazon are being destroyed by capitalism at an unstoppable speed. after his talk and the passionate presentation of the organizers, there was a mini-concert by singer, ua, and the band of hiro, missing echo.
the fact that most of the soybean in the nattou (fermented soybeans) and soymilk that i consume everyday come from these fields of brazil was a shocking eye-opening fact......but i love nattou and soymilk! should i stop buying these products? is that the answer? hmmmmmmm.........
